Sichuan food and Hotpot



I did a research about people’s favorite Chinese food. A lot of people like Chinese Hotpot and Si Chuan food. So Let’s talk about Sichuan food and get to know why people like it so much.


 Chinese hotpot is developed from Chongqing, Sichuan province, China. Chongqing people like to eat hot pot as much hot as they can, the more the better. Right now, hot pot has become the representative of Chinese food.


Hot pot in general based on a pot as a container. People heat cooking pot, and boiling water or soup, then put fresh food into hot soup instead of cooking them. The most special parts of Hotpot is we can eat the food at the same time while we cooking. Its characteristic is cooking and eating, or pan itself has heat preservation affection, it steaming food when we eating.


The story said the emperor Hu BiLie from Yuan dynasty loves hotpot. One winter, it’s really cold. Hu BiLie’s army need to fight with other armies, the soldiers are starving, also the emperor himself. He wanted to eat lamp. The clever chef sliced the mutton and put them into boiling water in a pot. Then he added sauce, chopped green onion and so on. After Hu Bilie tried, he loves hotpot a lot and give the name of it mutton hotpot.


Hot pot can be called the representative of the sichuan food, but sichuan province have more delicious food.


As one of the four Chinese nationality's big cuisines, sichuan cuisine occupies an important place in the history of Chinese cuisine, it dealts extensively, seasoning changeable, diversity of dishes. 


Sichuan food's flavor is about hemp, spicy, fresh and sweet, it matches with different food has different tastes. That's why so many people loves it a lot.
